The Kinder garden is situated at Samoëns 1600, close to the top of the Grand-Massif Express cable car and next to the meeting point for group lessons.  It is a specially laid out site perfect for younger children aged from 3 years to 6 years old, skiing for the first time or having already obtained their ‘Piou-piou’ badge.

The Kinder garden is equipped with a draglift, a covered conveyor belt and large outdoor cartoon figures. Your child will be able to discover the joys of skiing in this safe environment. Children able to stop in snowplough quickly leave the Kinder garden to go on the beginner area.

Ski sessions last between 2h15 and 2h30 but this does not mean that your child will necessarily be on his skis for the entire duration.  Age, degree of tiredness or weather conditions may mean that children also rest and play for some of this time. There is a large warm chalet situated within the Kinder garden.

Information on the Kinder garden

For all lessons in the Kinder garden, children must be equipped with ski boots, skis, sunglasses or ski mask, a pair of gloves (clearly marked with the child’s name) and a ski pass (free for children under 5 years of age if you give a proof of age).
A ski helmet is strongly recommended.
Parents are advised not to remain in close proximity to the Kinder garden as this often distracts children and prevents them from settling in.
Please keep us informed of any potential health problem concerning your child.
